Excessive External Leakage of the Motor

(1) Excessive fit clearance between the output shaft and the housing: When the fit clearance between the output shaft and the housing is larger than the standard value, a significant increase in leakage of the cycloidal hydraulic motor may be observed.Solution: Replace with a new matched set of the output shaft and housing.

(2) Use of an "O"-ring with an excessively large diameter: An overly thick "O"-ring may prevent the part surfaces from fitting properly, leaving a large gap and causing increased motor leakage. This situation is generally rare.Solution: Replace with an "O"-ring that meets the specified dimensions.

Why the Motor Fails to Rotate or Rotates Slowly

(1) Broken transmission shaft: The transmission shaft is a shaft connecting the cycloidal gear and the output shaft. As a hydraulic motor accessory, its function is to transmit the rotation of the cycloidal gear to the output shaft. When the motor is in an overloaded state for a long time, or the output shaft is subjected to a reverse external force, the transmission shaft may break. A broken transmission shaft is generally accompanied by damage to the teeth of the output shaft and the cycloidal gear (i.e., tooth breakage).Solution: Replace the transmission shaft; if other parts are damaged, they should be replaced together (applicable to hydraulic motors of raise-boring machines).
